Benefits of Essential Oils for Hair Growth
Essential oils don't just smell wonderful! Essential oils are extremely useful in homemade hair care products and many of them are very good to treat scalp conditions such as tea tree oil for dandruff, rosemary to grow hair faster, lavender for dry scalp, and peppermint for itchy scalp and to stimulate hair growth. If you're a ‘do it yourselfer’ you can create some very beneficial hair care products for your hair or you can enhance your store bought products by adding several drops to them for added benefits.
While it's part of the natural aging process to lose some of your crowning glory, it’s not really a natural process for it to lose its gleam and glow. This insufficient life is almost always due to not aging but to the unhealthy practices of overwashing, blow drying, and using chemical products such as sprays, perms and gels.
Rosemary Oil
Is another oil which doubles like a fragrant oil and an essential oil. The oil comes from the rosemary plant and is extremely useful for dandruff problems and flaky itchy scalp. Rosemary oil energizes the hair follicles; as a result hair, can grow longer and stronger.
Calendula Oil
Through history this essential oil for hair has been used to treat many types of skin problems including acne, wrinkles and eczema. It has anti-inflammatory properties and promotes healing and skin repair. It's anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal.
Lavender oil
Lavendar oil has immense benefits and can be used on most hair types. It helps treat dandruff and itching of the scalp. It doesn't only allow hair growth, but also helps control breakage of hair. It is stated, if you massage your hair with lavendar oil, you may notice significant re-growth of hair in some months.
Tea Tree essential oil
It is a natural scalp purifier and antibacterial agent. Use tea tree oil to cleanse the scalp and unblock hair follicles and cuticles. This helps dry hair to absorb moisture and nutrients, and it aids in treating oily scalps by removing excess oil. Its antibacterial and anti-fungal properties help remove bacteria and treat dandruff.
Avocado Oil
Avocado oil is perfect for strengthening and hydrating dry and damaged hair. Of all fruits, it has one of the highest content of Vitamin E and monosaturated fats that secure moisture in hair fibrer, making it strong and replenished. They're also easily absorbed both in hair and scalp, which helps in nurturing the roots of the hair and stimulating faster hair growth.
