Rose is used in cosmetics for its lovely scent and for its light astringent properties. Rose Water is great for all types of skin. Because the gentlest of all astringents, rose water is often used as toner for fair and dry skin. Pure rose water may be the distilled water of roses. It is usually made by stream distillation, also it smells heavenly and tastes delicious.

Rose water has been utilized throughout history by women all over the world. Cleopatra used it to keep her skin dewy and supple during her reign as queen of Egypt. It had been used as a means to cool hot angry skin in the summertime heat as well as for its ability to smooth and brighten complexions.

Rose water is created out of the distilled water of the rose petals. It's the most common by-product received from the distillation, apart from the oil. It has a very sweet and pleasant taste and fragrance that may be therapeutic as well as soothing for the skin.
