Wrap your head in a hot towel and leave on for about 10 minutes before retiring, or allow it to remain all night for optimum moisturizing.                                

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar helps to maintain the pH levels in your dry scalp. This will help to get rid of the itching and dryness of the scalp. You can apply this vinegar solution weekly twice to safeguard the dry scalp from itching and dryness.

Onion

Who knew onions can do more than making you cry. Well, among the many home remedies for dry scalp, onion has the properties to truly help you get rid of the problem effectively. All you need is a few slices of onion dipped in rum, let it stay in the solution for at least seven hours. Use the liquid to massage on your dry  scalp , the rum you are using has the properties of onions immersed in it.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is one of the very effective solutions for the itchy skin. You can use directly the flesh of fresh aloe to apply it on the scalp, keep it for 10 minutes then rinse with clean water. Without fresh aloe Vera, we can use aloe Vera gel and also do the same.

Milk and Honey

Milk and honey are often seen as a good pairing. Apart from nutritional benefits, these ingredients help us deal with loads of ailments including dry scalp. In fact it’s one of the best home remedies out there for dry scalp. Milk is a rich source of Vitamin D that has a soothing effect on your dry scalp.

Baking Soda Magic

Make a paste of baking powder and water and then apply it on the scalp and let it to remain for half an hour. Then wash with shampoo and follow with conditioner. Make sure you apply this paste on pre-oiled hair.
